Week Nine would also see Tropics and Oddities, go against one another in a crucial rematch that could define the start of the season for either team.

An amazing back and forth would go down in the half, with both teams running incredibly high intensity plays. Rowe - no.21 would prove to be, once again, an all round contributor to the Tropics, getting a 32 point double double with 14 rebounds in the game. Although the Oddities would attempt to remain close, their inconsistency from the field would leave them down by 16 going into the second half.

A brilliant second half for Nkume - no.22 would keep the Oddities fighting. However, a lack of offensive steam with their high scorer Duggan - no.96 not present for the game, would leave them struggling with points as they fell behind the now steam-rolling Tropics. The high rebounding Tropics would keep the possession throughout, only allowing the Oddities to put up 32 shots in the entire game! With a steal and dunk from Rowe, the Tropics would seal the win.

A returning game MVP would be Rowe - no.21 who carried the Tropics to the rematch win against their rivals. Putting up 32 points with an incredible 75% field-goal percentage, as well as contributing to the overall team’s success with 14 rebounds, Rowe would continue to be the franchise player for the winning team.

Now able to relax with 5 weeks off for the holiday, the Tropics will be able to develop and enjoy their break, whilst the losing Oddities must try to rebuild what they had at the start of the season in an attempt to win a much needed game. Will they succeed?

You can find out first hand by joining us at 6:45pm on Thursday 9th of January at The Deans College, Lincoln.

See you there.
