A Competitive and Fair Tournament
Every team will have the chance to test themselves in a structured round-robin format, leading to knockout rounds and a final. Matches will be played under FIBA 3x3 rules, with referees overseeing the games.
Beyond the competition, this tournament celebrates sportsmanship, teamwork, and fair play. Alongside trophies and medals for the top teams, there will be individual awards recognising those who set the right example on and off the court:
Player of the Tournament – Recognising standout performances and game-changing moments.
Fair Play Award – Rewarding integrity, respect, and a positive approach to the game.
Team Sportsmanship Award – Celebrating a team that competes hard but always within the right spirit.
Registration and Expectations
Lincoln Basketball will review all expressions of interest and reserves the right to accept or decline applications. This is a competitive but respectful event—aggression, referee abuse, or poor conduct will result in ejection and possible team sanctions.
With a fast-paced format and minimal downtime, players should bring their own food and drinks to stay fuelled throughout the day.
What Sets Lincoln Basketball 3x3 Apart?
1. More Games, More Basketball
Most tournaments guarantee only 3-4 games per team. Lincoln Basketball ensures a minimum of five games, with a structured round-robin and knockout stage that gives teams more time on the court.
2. Professional Officiating
Other 3x3 events rely on volunteers or self-officiation. Lincoln Basketball provides three paid referees and dedicated table officials, ensuring fair, high-quality officiating.
3. High-Quality Awards & Recognition
Unlike smaller tournaments, Lincoln Basketball offers trophies and medals for winning teams, alongside individual awards for:
Player of the Tournament (best overall performer)
Fair Play Award (outstanding sportsmanship)
Team Sportsmanship Award (team that embodies respect and positive play)
4. Official FIBA 3x3 Game Balls
Most tournaments use standard basketballs or mixed sizes. Lincoln Basketball provides brand-new FIBA 3x3 game balls, ensuring the best playing experience.
5. Media Coverage
Most amateur 3x3 tournaments do not include media coverage. Lincoln Basketball invests in professional media, capturing key moments, creating content for teams, and promoting the sport overall.
